Presidential Book Signing!

Rick, the book’s founder, is working on a special project – gathering some very special autographs for a collection of six signed books.

On August 14, the day officially known as National Code Talker’s Day, Rick photographed Navajo Nation President Ben Shelly signing the books.

Santa Fe New Mexican journalist Nico Roesler interviewed book founder Rick Carver in a recent issue of the paper.

In the article, Roesler emphasizes the mission of the book, to raise funds for the Esperanza Shelter, following a 35% decrease in funding over the past two years. The article also recognizes what distinguishes the book from other photo books about New Mexico: the focus on the reality of life, from a locked gate on the border with Mexico to a cowboy captured mid-buck, catching air above the back of a bull at the rodeo.
